Almond Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 cup (2 sticks)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Optional: sliced almonds for garnish
Instructions

    Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a large bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.

    Add almond extract and mix until smooth.

    In another bowl, whisk flours and salt.

    Gradually add dry to wet ingredients until dough forms.

    Scoop into 1-inch balls, flatten gently, and top with almonds.

    Bake for 13–15 minutes or until edges are golden.

    Cool completely before serving.
