Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Ingredients
  • 12 soft slider rolls
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 bell pepper (see variation notes)
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices 8–10 provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

    Cook the Filling: In a skillet over medium heat, cook beef, onion, and peppers until beef is done and vegetables are soft. Season with salt and pepper.

    Prepare the Rolls: Slice slider rolls horizontally, keeping connected. Place bottom half in a greased baking dish.

    Assemble Sliders: Spread beef mixture evenly over rolls, layer cheese on top, then place the roll tops.

    Add Butter Topping: Mix melted butter with garlic powder and brush over tops.

    Bake: Cover loosely with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 min.

Note

Classic version: green bell peppers + provolone

Creamy version: stir in cream cheese

Sweet Pepper version: use red & yellow bell peppers

Garlic Butter version: brush rolls with garlic butter

Mini Mozzarella version: swap provolone for mozzarella

Assemble up to 6 hours ahead and refrigerate. Bake just before serving.

Leftovers store in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat covered to maintain softness.
